B-SAFE was great fun. Here’s what the Ipswich Chronicle had to say about it:

Every summer, Ascension Church welcomes B-SAFE, a non-denominational summer enrichment program for Boston children ages 6-12 sponsored by St. Stephen’s Church, Boston. The recent visit of B-SAFE campers to Ipswich featured lots of sports activities with the TSS Campus, lunch provided by Ascension parishioners, and an introduction to musical instruments led by Dr. Frank Corbin, Gerald Dolan, Nalani Fujiwara and Helen Badenhausen. The highlight of the day was the children having the opportunity to play the instruments. Now in its 15th year, B-SAFE is a summer program that provides a safe, fun, academically enriching environment for more than 600 elementary and middle school students in Boston and Chelsea. B-SAFE activities include math and reading programs, hands-on exploration of science, technology and the arts, as well as field trips.
